Pastor Mike's primary responsibilities at the church are teaching, leadership development, vision casting, and pastoral care. He received a Bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministry from Nazarene Bible College in '07, a Master's degree in Spiritual Formation from Northwest Nazarene University in '10, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Tennessee Temple University in 2015. He has served in various ministry roles including youth pastor, associate pastor, and lead pastor in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. Born in Michigan, Pastor Mike considers the Wolverine State his home and returned to lead the people of Bay City First in August of 2013.
Pastor Bobs Primary responsibilities at the church are calling on church members and helping to strengthen the church body in Christ. After graduating from Nazarene Bible College in 1975 Pastor Bob and his wife Sharon served in ministry for 36 years. They came to Bay City First in 2002 and pastored our church until he retired as an Ordained Elder in 2011.
Mary has the responsibilities of children's ministry. She been a part of Bay City Naz for many years and has deep roots in the community. Her ministry includes Sunday morning children's church as well as calling on and staying connected with parents of children. Since God called her to this ministry her heart's desire is to bring people to the Lord and disciple them into a closer walk with Christ.
Pastor Adam's responsibility is for youth and families and provides the teaching in both our Saturday and Sunday services on occasion. He has a testimony that is worth hearing; it is one of the great stories of God's mercy and redemption into becoming a fully devoted follower of Christ. Adam's passion for Christ is evident in his life and theology.
Sara brings a passionate atmoshpere of worship to BC Naz with her gifted keyboard playing and powerful vocals. Sara's philosophy of worship is not just singing and playing instruments, however. You will find a strong emphasis on prayer as an integral part of her set list each week. She is a passionate song writer, worship leader, wife, mother, and friend. But most of all she loves Jesus Christ.
Kelsey has been leading worship since she was 13 years old. A gifted and powerful singer, Kelsey also enjoys playing piano and guitar. Her responsibilities include leading our Saturday evening worship service as well as accompanying Sara on Sunday mornings.
Shirley is passionate about Celebrate Recovery (CR) and leading worship for the Tuesday Evening CR services. Along with leading CR worship, Shirley also runs the powerpoint for the Saturday evening and Sunday morning worship services. You can also find her in the church office organizing the announcements and bulletin for the weekend.
